EVERYDAY UPI, ORGANISED

What is a UPI expense tracker?

A UPI expense tracker organises payment information into a history you can understand later. The useful part is not simply collecting debit amounts. It is identifying which alerts represent everyday spending, which represent money returning to you and which may be transfers between your own accounts.

PaisaZen works with supported financial transaction alerts on Android. It does not send UPI payments, hold funds or replace your payment app. It focuses on the record after a supported transaction alert reaches your phone.

Built for the context around a payment

A ₹500 merchant payment and a ₹500 transfer to your own account may look similar in a simple debit list. PaisaZen is designed to help preserve the difference.

HOW IT WORKS

From a supported UPI alert to an expense record

  1. 01

The transaction happens in your payment app

You continue using your preferred UPI app or bank experience. PaisaZen is not part of the payment flow.

  2. 02

A supported financial alert reaches Android

With the permission you approve, PaisaZen can identify supported bank or UPI transaction alerts represented on the device.

  3. 03

    PaisaZen interprets the alert locally

On-device intelligence extracts the relevant financial meaning and prepares an organised transaction record.

  4. 04

    You review what matters

Correct a category, change the spending meaning, add a note or remove the record if the automatic result needs your input.

Manual entry remains available for supported activity that is not represented by a financial SMS alert.

BEYOND A DEBIT LIST

UPI payments, self-transfers and refunds are different

PAYMENT

Merchant expense

A supported purchase can be categorised and included in your spending picture.

TRANSFER

Own-account movement

Moving money between identities that belong to you should not automatically inflate expenses.

REFUND

Money returned

A refund or reversal needs a different meaning from salary, income or a new purchase.

CARD

Bill payment

A credit-card bill paid through UPI can represent settlement of earlier spending, not another expense.

PaisaZen's Financial Details area helps you confirm supported accounts, cards and UPI identities. Those confirmed identities provide context when deciding whether activity is spending or movement.

A CLEANER HISTORY

Repeated alerts should not become repeated expenses

The same real-world transaction can sometimes be represented by more than one alert. PaisaZen matches supported repeated activity to help prevent duplicate imports.

Automation is not treated as infallible. Review gives you a clear place to correct or remove anything that does not represent your financial activity accurately.

PRIVACY AND CONTROL

Your UPI history should remain under your control

Supported transaction-alert processing in the current PaisaZen Play build occurs on your Android device. SMS access is used only when you approve SMS-based tracking. Read the exact current disclosures in the Privacy Policy.
